About the role
Lead the design, development, and delivery of portable C and C++ libraries for cryptographic operations, secure credential storage, TLS, certificate services, and key management. Guide architecture and provider integration, drive secure development and FIPS readiness, and collaborate with product, security, and architecture teams on integration, troubleshooting, and backward-compatible upgrades. Requires 8+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership in C/C++ systems software and security-critical cryptographic libraries, with strong expertise in modern C/C++, secure communications, and cross-platform development. Candidates should have a record of maintaining stable APIs and ABIs, leading cross-functional initiatives, influencing technical strategy, and mentoring engineers; experience with OpenSSL, BSAFE, FIPS 140-3, KMIP, and security tooling is desirable.
